Maher on Sterling Outrage: ‘Calm Down, Being an Asshole Is Still Legal’
Bill Maher posted a very different take on the Donald Sterling uproar on Twitter today, lightly defending him from people saying he should lose his ownership of the L.A. Clippers because of his alleged racist rant.
Al Sharpton said Sterling should lose his ownership, as well as Magic Johnson and Charles Barkley. Maher, however, doesn’t think a disproportionate response like that is warranted.
Sterling def. a racist, but take away his team? Clippers shldn't have played yesterday? Calm down, being an asshole is still legal in America

This isn’t the first time Maher’s taken a contrary position on such a heated issue. Back in 2012, he said he didn’t like the idea of Rush Limbaugh being “made to disappear” by liberals because of his controversial remarks about Sandra Fluke.
