Mark Levin Trashes GOP on Fox over Budget Deal, Snipes at ‘Weak’ Boehner’s ‘Whining’

Today marks day two of John Boehner going all Howard Beale on conservative groups opposed to the budget deal, thus publicizing the ongoing feud in the GOP. Conservative radio host Mark Levin went off on Boehner and the Republicans on Fox News, saying they are, in essence, surrendering to the Democrats and sending a clear message about how easily they can roll over.

Levin had little sympathy for the lamentations that Republicans are in the minority, telling Neil Cavuto that didn’t stop Newt Gingrich from fighting Bill Clinton. He said of the current GOP, “They lower the bar, they dumb it down so far, the Democrats are laughing at them!”

It’s a “horrific precendent,” Levin said, for the GOP to show its hand like this. When you’re in the minority, you’re supposed to fight and it’s supposed to be hard, otherwise, he continued, “if it were easy… you could have chimpanzees doing this.”

As for Boehner, Levin piled on the Republican leader for complaining about dissent and for buckling over and over and over. He added, “He’s been an extremely weak speaker, he’s always whining about what power he doesn’t have.”
