Kimmel, who hosted last night, was just as baffled as everyone else by the “mass confusion,” as he put it, when it turned out La La Land didn’t actually win Best Picture, but in fact Moonlight did. Kimmel called this the “the weirdest series finale since Lost.”

When he took the stage, he said, he was “standing there like an idiot feeling bad for these guys but also trying really hard not to laugh, to be honest.”
