Meghan McCain Goes Off After Joy Behar Says She’s ‘Offended by Republicans’: ‘Oh My God’

Things got really tense on The View when Joy Behar and Meghan McCain locked horns after the former said that everybody in the GOP is an affront to her.

The ladies used their Friday A block to address the controversy swirling around WH Chief of Staff John Kelly thanks to his connection to Rob Porter‘s domestic abuse scandal. Behar sarcastically noted that Kelly was “shocked” by the recent news, though McCain cautioned the panel to not make light of the alleged abuse Porter’s ex-wives experienced.

“It’s very serious,” McCain said, “and as a Republican I am offended.”

Behar’s response: “as a Democrat I’m offended by Republicans.”

Sunny Hostin intervened and tried to keep the focus on Porter, Kelly and Hope Hicks before McCain and Behar could have at it. McCain noted that the scandal was a self-inflicted wound for the Trump Administration, but when Behar got back into the conversation, McCain coldly noted that her co-host must be offended since McCain is a Republican.

“I’m offended by a party that backs a racist,” Behar retorted as McCain rolled her eyes and sighed “oh my god.” McCain didn’t stop there though:

“I’m actually going on the Van Jones show on Saturday and I’m looking forward to talking about this in a way that is respectful and not being told that just because I’m a Republican I’m offending you. We are not going to move a needle throwing out platitudes like that, and I would like to have a real conversation about it.”
