MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace Bashes Giuliani’s Mueller Probe Attacks: ‘Rudy Needs to Check His Carbon Monoxide Monitors’

MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace didn’t mince words during her evening broadcast Thursday, calling out Rudy Giuliani‘s attacks on the Russia probe and suggesting they were the remarks of someone suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning.

Giuliani, who serves as President Donald Trump‘s personal attorney, defended his client Wednesday during an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity, arguing the Special Counsel Robert Mueller‘s investigation is a sham perpetrated by Democrats who may be involved in collusion themselves.

“Now we have Mueller who doesn’t seem to care that he’s sitting on top of a totally illegitimate investigation,” Giuliani said. “Maybe if Mueller and his band of whatever they are– Democrats, right –were fair-minded, maybe they’d investigate. Maybe that’s the collusion.”

Wallace saw it as nothing more than a diversion tactic meant to skew attention away from the president; however, her criticism in response to Giuliani’s remarks soon became personal.

“Oh my God,” she exclaimed. “Rudy needs to check his carbon monoxide monitors.”

Giuliani told Hannity he feared Mueller would attempt to catch Trump in a perjury trap, and that there is a substantial risk to the president sitting down with the special counsel for an interview under oath.

That, Wallace noted, was an indication “the president is starting to sweat.”
