MSNBC’s Ruhle Rips Don Jr., Kellyanne for Victory Lap Over Schneiderman Report: ‘Talk About a Double Standard’
MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle tore into Donald Trump Jr. and Kellyanne Conway today for taking victory laps on Twitter over the news that a prominent critic of President Trump met his downfall last night.
Eric Schneiderman resigned as New York’s Attorney General Monday night after four women accused him of violent physical abuse in a stunning New Yorker report.
Ruhle joined Morning Joe on Tuesday morning for a segment on Schneiderman’s fall from grace as a vanguard of the #MeToo movement. At one point, Joe Scarborough remarked that “if you are a Republican governor from Missouri or Republican president of the United States, you’ve got carte blanche….You can do whatever you want to do.”
From there, Ruhle brought the hammer down on Trump Jr. and Conway, saying it was ironic that they’d be delighted to hear of Schneiderman’s abusive behavior — without the least bit of self-awareness.

That was fast. I figured he would hold out for a solid 6 or 7 hours. https://t.co/u8bKjL4LcY

“It didn’t take long because of the extraordinary strength of the free press,” Ruhle responded to Trump Jr.’s tweet. “Kellyanne Conway, you’re standing with and by someone who’s been accused of sexual misconduct, as well as a guy who’s bragged about grabbing a woman’s genitals.
“So talk about a double standard, you betcha.”
Watch above, via MSNBC.”
