Outnumbered Gets Heated on North Korea: ‘They’re Almost Daring the United States to Invade’
On Monday, Richard Fowler was the “One Lucky Guy” on Outnumbered. And indeed, Fowler truly was Outnumbered during a heated segment on North Korea.
Fowler, a progressive radio talk show host, called on the U.S. and others to sit down with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un to try to achieve a peace.
“So at some point in time, maybe — just maybe — sitting down with this guy and saying, ‘What can we do?'” Fowler said.
“Wow,” Trish Regan said in response.
“You’re okay with a one-on-one with North Korea?” Harris Faulkner asked Fowler in seeming disbelief.
“What can we do to normalize relations?” Fowler said.
Regan said a one-on-one sit down between Trump and Kim Jong Un is just not the answer.
“You’re assuming he’s a rational player,” Regan said. She added, “Richard, he has proven over and over again, he can’t be rational. So how are you gonna sit down with a guy as crazy as him?”
“They’re almost daring the United States to invade!” Kennedy added.
Fowler kept trying to make the case.
“Think about the Cold War,” Fowler said. “At some point in time, it took an American president saying, ‘Maybe the soviets are rational actors and we have to sit down and talk to them’ before we ended the Cold War.”
Sandra Smith — seemingly speaking for the rest of the panel — was unconvinced.
“Richard, are you going to take this man at his word if an agreement is made?” she asked.
“Riding unicorns into North Korea to give them hugs isn’t going to work either!” Kennedy added.
