President Obama To Appear on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon This Week

President Barack Obama is taking his campaign once again to late-night television with a Tuesday appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. This will be the president’s first appearance on Fallon’s show. First Lady Michelle Obama appeared on Late Night earlier this year in a pre-taped segment from within the White House. The president will be sitting down with Kimmel in a segment to be taped at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

According to White House communications director Dan Pfeiffer, President Obama will be talking about his plans for reducing costs on student loans.

Obama is the first sitting president to appear on late-night television. He appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The Late Show with David Letterman in 2009, came back to Leno’s show in 2011, and he’s made appearances on both The Daily Show and The Colbert Report. Meanwhile, fellow late-night host Jimmy Kimmel is going to be yukking it up with the president and the press corps this Saturday at the White House Correspondents Dinner.

Mediaite will be covering the president’s appearance on the program when it airs Tuesday night.
