Sen. Cruz Responds to Clinton on Benghazi: She Thinks the Truth Is Partisan

Senator Ted Cruz appeared on CNN today to react to Hillary Clinton‘s comments about the continued unanswered questions about Benghazi. Cruz cast heavy aspersions on Clinton’s supposed desire to answer those unanswered questions and charged that she believes merely calling for truth is a partisan exercise. Erin Burnett challenged him on that front, suggesting criticism from him and others has basically put politics center stage in the fighting over Benghazi.

Cruz said, “The truth isn’t partisan, they’re basic questions that haven’t been answered, and she views it as criticism.” He insisted that Clinton has “stonewalled” and has been trying to block any real answers as to what happened on that fateful night, because she just believes the calls for truth are pure partisanship.

When Clinton was on CNN earlier, she was grilled about Benghazi and said there are still questions she has about that night that have so far not been answered. She also got some tough questions about Benghazi on Fox News over the State Department’s handling of the fallout.
