SNL‘s Weekend Update Asks ‘What Are You Doing,’ Obama?

Saturday Night Live‘s Weekend Update took a look at President Barack Obama‘s recent remark about not changing Washington “from the inside” — a remark that prompted a lil’ segment called “What Are You Doing?”

Weekend Update anchor Seth Meyers was baffled — the President’s poll numbers are solid, his opponent is “in flames,” no one’s discussing Joe Biden. Why say anything the same week Romney is shown disparaging 47 percent of Americans and attending a Univision Q&A in brownface. Just ride the wave! Why say anything at all?

Look at the Queen of England, for instance. She’s still in power, Meyers said, because she’s said like 11 words in decades.

Plus, he added, that comment about change seems a little bit off. “I thought we were in charge of the hope, and you were in charge of the change.”
