Steve Bannon Warns Iran War Will Break MAGA and ‘Be the End of Israel!’
MAGA firebrand Steve Bannon warned that U.S. military involvement in the spiraling conflict between Israel and Iran could not only permanently fracture President Donald Trump’s political coalition – but also spell “the end” for Israel itself.
His warning on Monday’s episode of The Tucker Carlson Show follows a weekend of dramatic escalation in the Middle East, with Israeli airstrikes killing over 220 in Iran and damaging key military and nuclear sites. Iran’s retaliation has left 24 Israelis dead and over 500 injured.
But Bannon’s concern is not just strategic, it’s political. He fears the war could detonate the coalition Trump built to take back the White House and sees potential involvement in a “shooting war” as a derailment of Trump’s agenda.
That coalition, Bannon argues, is held together by three core pillars: ending America’s “forever wars,” sealing the border and deporting undocumented immigrants, and reworking trade deals to return jobs to the U.S.
“They’re trying to shut all three down,” he said. “But the one that they’re obsessed with the most… is the forever wars.”
Bannon explained that the push for U.S. involvement — from within Trump’s own orbit — is a calculated effort to blow apart this alliance. In recent days he and Carlson have taken on other pro-Trump media figures like Sean Hannity and Mark Levin, accusing them of cheerleading for war. Carlson called them “warmongers,” while Bannon suggested their rhetoric served the interests of the very Washington establishment Trump ran against.
Reflecting on the what he said were the successes of Trump’s administration to date, Bannon noted how officials were “trying to make these deals” and that Trump had “sealed the border already in the first 60 days.”
He said: “Now we’re really going down and actually having the deportation, see the fight [in Los Angeles]. And then out of nowhere comes a war with Persia. It’s like a shooting war with Persian, a massive shooting war of Persia, and it’s like, how did this happen?”
If Trump’s movement is sidetracked by another war, Bannon warned, the domestic agenda that powered his rise – and the political machinery backing Israel – could collapse in tandem.
He continued: “And that’s why I’ve been up as a defender of Israel, and someone that’s very pro-Israel. I’ve been saying, ‘Hey, this is going to be the end of Israel because of the way these decisions have been made.’ And you have, I think, shockingly, today early when we had you on the show, you bring up a point that we have to address, which I think it’s the thing itself. What is it about this apparatus?”
To Bannon, the conflict is a trap he likened to Iraq, a war he said was sold as inevitable by Beltway insiders.
Bannon said: “It’s like what’s happened over the last 72 hours? How do we even get to this point? How did this actually happen? Who made these decisions when we had the intel out there that this was not like a thing?”
He continued: “The question before us is not simply the Israel-Persia situation, it’s what the fuck is going on in this city that just drives this city, whether you’re Barack Obama or Donald Trump. And if we don’t sort it out now, and I mean right now, that’s what we have to have a throwdown,” he continued,”… We’re prepping for a major shooting war.”
Bannon called for a harder purge of the deep state, which he framed as working against MAGA’s agenda, warning that Trump’s leadership picks only held a “tenuous grip” on the power of government agencies.
“Now’s the time we got to lance the boil,” he said.
