Steve Doocy Giddy About Trump’s Tease He Might Visit Fox & Friends on WH Lawn: He Could Make ‘History’

President Donald Trump apparently had a hardcore Fox & Friends binge on Friday morning, and after noticing that host Steve Doocy was filming from the White House lawn, teased he might “have to take an unannounced trip down to see them.”

“Wow, the highest rated (by far) morning show, @foxandfriends, is on the Front Lawn of the White House,” Trump tweeted. “Maybe I’ll have to take an unannounced trip down to see them?”

Steve Doocy, who was in Washington D.C. to cover the Congressional baseball game at Nats park, read out that tweet on Fox & Friends Friday morning shortly after it was issued, and was positively giddy.

“Wow,” Brian Kilmeade said.

So he tweeted that out,” Doocy said. “And you cannot see this, but just about 50 feet over that way, there are about 100 members of the Washington press corps hoping that the president makes history by coming out to actually talk to one of the cameras on the North Lawn at his house.”

Kilmeade asked if you can make an “unannounced visit” to Fox & Friends if you’ve announced it on Twitter. Doocy said probably not. He then ran down the Fox & Friends schedule for the rest of the morning — “if the president’s watching” — so he could fit himself in.

“Will the president photo bomb me on the North Lawn of the White House? Stay tuned, you’ll find out in the next hour.”

Stay tuned indeed, according to Doocy, Trump is currently en route.
