Stewart Hammers GOP over Climate Denial, Oliver North’s Hypocrisy

Two days after mocking liberal science denialism, Jon Stewart went after the right again for its particular brand of science denial: global warming. And what Stewart found most amusing is that Republicans keep opposing it while making it clear they’re not experts in this particular field…

He called out John Boehner in particular, mocking his “very impressive set of scientific credentials,” for opposing any congressional efforts to take any action on climate change.

But on the other hand, the only Republican Stewart could find who’s been speaking from experience this week has been Oliver North. Because North weighed in on possible government funding of terrorists in the Bergdahl case… but there’s also this thing called Iran-Contra that he was involved in. And Stewart could only conclude the lesson in this hypocrisy is “You can overstep your authority, just lie the shit out of it afterwards.”
