Trump Confident Video of 9/11 Celebration Will Emerge: ‘They’ll Find Something’
In an interview with MSNBC’s Morning Joe, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said he was confident that video of thousands of American Muslims celebrating the 9/11 attacks would eventually emerge.
“Do you think there’s any chance that video you think you saw in Jersey City was the video of people in the West Bank celebrating September 11th?” MSNBC contributor Willie Geist asked Monday.
Trump was clearly not happy that Geist brought up the topic.“To bring it up again, it’s so wonderful you brought it up again. This is why you can’t get away from these subjects…”
“I saw it on television, 14 years ago I saw it on television…” Trump insisted, adding that others told him they saw the video as well. “I have received hundreds of calls and tweets from people.”
“Why can’t anyone find the video?” asked host Joe Scarborough.
“They’ll find something, they’re going to find something,” Trump responded. “Don’t forget, 14-15 years ago it wasn’t like it is today where you press a button and play a video. 14-15 years ago they didn’t put it in files, they destroy half the stuff.”
“I have received hundreds of calls saying they saw it,” Trump said again. “This is not two calls, this is hundreds of calls. I’ve received many, many tweets.”
