President Donald Trump appointed Fox News host Mark Levin and former Fox News contributor Bo Dietl to his Homeland Security Advisory Council on Thursday.

“I am proud to announce the formation of my revamped Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC), which is comprised of Top Experts in their field, who are highly respected by their peers,” announced Trump in a Truth Social post:

It is a big honor to serve on HSAC, and I know the new Members, South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster, Mark Levin, Bo Dietl, and Joseph Gruters, will do an incredible job. Under Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem’s leadership, HSAC will work hard on developing new Policies and Strategies that will help us secure our Border, deport Illegal Criminal Thugs, stop the flow of Fentanyl and other illegal drugs that are killing our Citizens, and MAKE AMERICA SAFE AGAIN. Congratulations to all!

Levin – the host of Fox News’ Life, Liberty & Levinthanked Trump for the appointment on social media, writing, “What an honor! Thank you, Mr. President!”

Levin has repeatedly criticized the Trump administration in recent months, accusing the White House of “negotiating” with “the vilest subhuman terrorists, the Hamas Nazis,” and “publicly demeaning Israel’s leadership.” In February, Levin also opposed the Trump administration’s decision to cut back on its support for Ukraine and condemned conservatives who have criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Trump also appointed Bo Dietl to the council on Thursday, a former Fox News contributor who was let go from the network in 2016 after it was revealed he was hired to help discredit Gretchen Carlson’s sexual harassment allegations against the then-CEO Roger Ailes.

Dietl, a former NYPD detective, also worked as “the Wolf of Wall Street” Jordan Belfort’s head of security in the 1990s and has starred in several Martin Scorsese crime movies, including Goodfellas, The Irishman, and The Wolf of Wall Street.
