Trump: ‘When Do You See the United Nations Solving Problems?’

 

President-elect Donald Trump delivered some brief remarks to the press outside Mar-a-Lago today, including a critique of the United Nations.

Trump first announced that Sprint will be bringing back 5000 jobs to the United States before confirming that he did speak to President Obama earlier today.

He was asked one question about the U.N., given the recent resolution about Israeli settlements, and he responded, “The U.N. has such tremendous potential. Not living up to its potential.”

“When do you see the United Nations solving problems?” he asked. “They don’t. They cause problems. So, if it lives up to the potential, it’s a great thing, and if it doesn’t, it’s a waste of time and money.”

Earlier today Trump criticized the U.N. in his tweets on Israel:
