WATCH: Joe Biden Addresses Labor Conference Amid Controversy, 2020 Speculation

Former Vice President Joe Biden will speak at the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers’ (IBEW) construction and maintenance conference today, during which he might address the recent conversations about his possible run for president.

This will be Biden’s first public address since multiple women came forward with accusations of inappropriate physical behavior with them throughout his political career. The allegations cast a shadow on Biden amid speculation that he will enter the 2020 race.

The former Vice President released a video statement this week acknowledging the objections to his behavior and promising to be more mindful of personal space in the future.

On Thursday, President Donald Trump went after Biden by mocking his statement with a meme that shows the ex-Veep massaging his own shoulders as he delivered his address. Biden retaliated by sarcastically remarking on how “on the job and presidential” Trump is by tweeting such things.

It is possible that Biden will use his speech to address all of this today as he outlines his vision for the country’s future. Political observers suspect there’s a strong likelihood that Biden will enter the race, and he stoked those rumors in his statement by saying he expects to speak to the country about a number of issues in the coming months.
