‘You’re a Coward!’ Fox News Interview Goes OFF THE RAILS as Black Lives Matter Activist Walks Out on Dan Bongino

Fox News’ Dan Bongino’s interview with a Black Lives Matter activist descended into chaos as they both wound up yelling at each other before Bongino’s guest walked out of the show.

Hawk Newsome, a co-founder of Black Lives Matter in New York, was on Unfiltered Saturday night to talk about his criticisms for the city’s incoming mayor, Eric Adams. Adams is a former police captain for the NYPD, and Newsome recently warned that “if they think that they’re going to go back to the old ways of policing, then we’re going to take to the streets again. There will be riots, there will be fires and there will be bloodshed.”

Adams had brushed off Newsome’s comments, calling them “fringe element” and vowing that the city was “not going to be intimidated by anyone.”

“This city is not going to be a city of riots, it is not going to be a city of burning,” said Adams.

Asked to respond, Newsome accused Adams of acting like a performative politician with his comments. Adams “doesn’t want to be held accountable,” declared Newsome.

Bongino stayed on the matter at hand by asking how does threatening “bloodshed” advance Newsome’s interests on social issues. Newsome claimed his remarks were “foreshadowing” for the civil unrest that he believed would re-emerge if Black people were killed by the police because of a return to previous operational standards by the NYPD.

Bongino and Newsome went on with a rousing debate on stop-and-frisk, plus Adams’ plan to reinstate plainclothes anti-crime cops. Things began to really escalate, however, when Bongino started to press Newsome on where he stands with protests that turn violent and destructive.

“As Dr. King said ‘riots are the voice of the unheard,'” Newsome said. “It’s a natural occurrence that if people can continue to be traumatized and oppressed, they will lash out.”

The two began to talk past each other, and as Bongino accused Newsome of not answering his questions, he asked “Do you condemn riots and burning down buildings after a police use-of-force incident you don’t like?”

Newsome’s answer:

No. What I’ll say is, I understand when a police officer unjustifiably kills someone, why people lash out. I understand that completely. I’m not going to condemn, nor am I going to condone it.

Bongino repeatedly accused Newsome of evading the question before saying “Isn’t that cowardly? Wasn’t that cowardly? I’m not going to condemn it, but I’m not gonna condone it, so I don’t to take a stand?”

You seem to talk a lot of junk and then when I put you on the spot you won’t answer a damn question. Do you condone violence or you condemn violence? You’re all over the place. Just condemn violence and burning of buildings down. How hard is it?”

From there, the conversation went on a downward spiral as Bongino and Newsome accused each other of trampling over the other. Bongino repeatedly called Newsome a coward, which drew a rebuke of “No, you’re a coward,” and Newsome decided to pull the plug on the interview.

“You’re trying to bait me,” Newsome said. “God bless you man. I’m outta here.”
