Alex Berenson is Now Just Telling People to Get Covid

Former New York Times reporter-turned-anti vaccine proponent Alex Berenson straight up suggested contracting the coronavirus as a viable option for developing immunity to the virus that has killed more than 600,000 Americans.

Over the course of the Covid pandemic, Berenson has become a celebrated figure among some on the right thanks to his Covid skepticism and criticism of public health guidelines. Despite being consistently wrong about the pandemic, Berenson is a recurring guest on Fox News, where he peddles anti-vax talking points that have been rebuked by numerous health professionals.

Most recently, Berenson appeared at CPAC where he got the audience to cheer for the fact that the government has fallen short of its goals to have more of the country vaccinated by now.

On Tuesday, Berenson repeatedly took to Twitter, where he once again disputed the health benefits of Covid vaccines. This eventually led Berenson to tweet…this:

Here’s how he defended himself from critics later.

The United States is currently witnessing a surge in cases because of the highly contagious delta Covid variant. Among those who’ve died, the great majority of them were unvaccinated, and the pandemic has killed over 611,000 Americans so far.
