Fox’s Kilmeade Blows a Gasket After Bob Costas Calls Trump Fans Delusional Toxic Cult Worshipping Loathesome Disgrace

Fox News host Brian Kilmeade blew a gasket on Bob Costas for torching fans of former President Donald Trump as a “toxic cult” worshipping a “loathsome” and “disgraceful” figure,” likening the rant to Hillary Clinton’s “deplorables” moment.

Costas made his remarks on Saturday morning’s edition of CNN’s Smerconish, during which he also criticized President Joe Biden for not stepping aside for a younger candidate.

Trump, for his part, drew repeated and widespread comparisons to Hitler when he called his political opposition “vermin.”

On Monday’s edition of Fox News Channel’s The Faulkner Focus, Kilmeade watched the rant and expressed outrage that supporters of Trump would be insulted in this way, and Faulkner asked Kilmeade to imagine a world in which “a Republican candidate” did something like that:

HARRIS FAULKNER: To add this to the mix, critics are railing against sportscaster Bob Costas, who said this about former President Trump and his supporters on CNN this weekend. Let’s watch.

BOB COSTAS: He is by far the most disgraceful figure in modern presidential history. He’s only become more disgraceful since 2016 and since 2020. He is a bubbling cauldron of loathsome traits. You have to be in the throes of some sort of toxic delusion and a toxic cult to believe that Donald Trump has ever been in any sense emotionally, psychologically, intellectually or ethically fit to be president of the.

HARRIS FAULKNER: Brian.

BRIAN KILMEADE: I know Bob Costas. I know how bright is best. When by the time he was 34, is the best sportscaster in the country doing all the biggest events ever. I know that’s exactly how he feels.

But I think it’s so, it’s so shallow of him to think that you can have your feelings and put down 74 million people along the way. If people if you, who are support–, especially him, coming from a place where people support their teams and their players and their boxers and and their athletes and people are loyal, there are people loyal to him for reasons they should be respected for and analyzed because once again, that’s the real re–

HARRIS FAULKNER: But everybody should be respected.

BRIAN KILMEADE: Right? It’s the Hillary Clinton playbook.

HARRIS FAULKNER: I mean, Democrats want their voters to be respected. Can you imagine if a Republican candidate called them all deplorable? I mean, come on.

BRIAN KILMEADE: They did. She did.
