The federal indictment outlining Hunter Biden’s recent tax delinquency charges paints a curious — if not salacious — picture of the lifestyle led by the son of President Joe Biden from 2016 to 2019.
As reported by NBC News, the charges were brought by Department of Justice Special Counsel David Weiss, who indicted Biden in September on three gun charges. The case has been given to Trump-appointed Judge Mark Scarsi.
According to Thursday’s indictment, Biden “engaged in a four-year scheme to not pay at least $1.4 million in self-assessed federal taxes he owed for tax years 2016 through 2019, from in or about January 2017 through in or about October 15, 2020, and to evade the assessment of taxes for tax year 2018 when he filed false returns in or about February 2020.”
Page 38 of the indictment itemizes expense claims paid by Owasco, PC, and Hunter Biden’s bank account instead of paying taxes, which include some eye-popping numbers. For example, Biden is alleged to have paid $683,212 for “Various Women,” $397,530 for “Clothing and Accessories,” and $188,960 for “Adult Entertainment.”

Hunter Biden has been very open with his struggles with addiction during this period, the details of which have long been discussed publicly since the images from his laptop computer were revealed weeks before the 2020 general election.
These details emerge amid an ongoing investigation into alleged “influence peddling” of Joe Biden by House Republicans who have not yet found any evidence of corruption, at least according to a Republican member of the House Oversight Committee, Rep. Lisa McClain. This most recent indictment appears to have nothing directly to do with an impeachment inquiry.
