LISTEN: Rep. Lauren Boebert Pushes Deranged Conspiracy That There Will Be Mass Resignations Before 2022 Election
Colorado Rep. Lauren Boebert threw another log onto the conspiracy fire at a constituent town hall this week, pushing a bonkers theory that Republicans will retake Congress before the 2022 election because of mass resignations by Democrats.
According to a report from the Colorado Times Recorder, the freshman congresswoman finished up a recent town hall in Montrose with a deranged claim when asked about about the prospect of a “perp walk” for Hillary Clinton and former directors of the FBI and CIA, all of whom are key figures in the QAnon Deep State eliminationist myth.
In her brief tenure in Congress, the QAnon-supporting Boebert has already been caught lying about why she carries a gun, lying about carrying that gun to Congress and called out for using deceptive stock imagery in one of her political stunts.
Before the man asking the last question could finish his rant, Boebert cut in, not to push back on his absurd narrative but to validate and amplify it.
“I’m going to answer part of this,” she said, breaking in, as the man demanded Clinton and other high-level government officials be “held accountable” for unspecified crimes. “Yes…I sure hope so.”
“So we are seeing a lot of ugliness uncovered, a lot of corruption exposed,” Boebert then said, feeding off of the ominous fabulism of the questioner. “But I believe that we are going to start seeing gifts and callings of righteous men and women exposed to counter all of this. Gifts that have remained dormant on the inside of people are going to start rising up. People are going to start filling these positions that they never saw themselves in, doing their part to serve their country.”
Boebert then claimed a source “in very close contact with President [Donald] Trump” endorsed the conspiracies being pushed by the pro-Trump Epoch Times, which has been a key player in pushing the “big lie” about 2020 election fraud.
“So anyone who tries to tell you that this is a fringe newspaper/media don’t listen to them,” she insisted. “I have very good sources to say this is really good information. Is it a hundred percent? I don’t know. But it’s really good information.”
“We all know that there was information that was declassified just a few days before President Trump left office,” she added. “And I know someone who is involved in declassifying that. And this person is getting very tired of waiting on the DOJ to do something about it. And we will be hearing about it very, very soon. And this is my opinion with that information that I have, I believe we will see resignations begin to take place. And I think we can take back the majority in the House and the Senate before 2022 when all of this is ended.”
