Trump Tells Israeli-American Parents Their Son is Being Held Hostage Because Biden Stole 2020 Election

President Donald Trump told the parents of the last living American hostage held by Hamas that their son would be home if former President Joe Biden hadn’t won the 2020 election, which Trump continued calling “rigged.”

While speaking during an event for the National Day of Prayer, Trump thanked Yael Alexander and Adi Alexander for being in attendance. The Alexanders, born and raised in Israel before moving to the United States, are the parents of Edan Alexander, who was one of hundreds taken hostage by Hamas during their brutal October 7 attack on Israel.

“We don’t know how he’s doing really, do we? We don’t know. We think we know and hopefully positive. Two months ago, we were pretty sure. It looked like he was getting out, but they’ve toughened up a little bit. It’s a terrible thing. I know what you’re going through. A New Jersey boy, Eden moved to Israel in 2022, was taken hostage on the vicious October 7th attack on Jewish people,” Trump said.

He went on to blame Biden for the Hamas attack, accusing him of not being tough enough on Iran, an ally of the terror group. Trump called the 2020 election “rigged” and “disgraceful.”

Trump said:

Now, I will tell you that as an attack that would’ve never happened because the money was given by Iran to Hamas. Iran had no money when I was president. They were out of money. They were bust. They were not giving it to Hamas, Hezbollah, to anybody because they didn’t have money. They were just about bust.

In fact, I put sanctions on last night. Any oil anyone takes from Iran is not allowed to do business in the United States of America, which is what I did the last time. That drove them into a very bad state and they were ready to make a deal except for the election didn’t turn out the way it should have. It was a rigged election. We might as well say it. But it was totally rigged. It’s disgraceful. I think it’s going to go down as one of the biggest disgraces.

The president then directly told the Alexanders that their son would be home if not for Biden. Trump also declared that if he won the 2020 election, Russia also would not have invaded Ukraine, claiming Russian President Vladimir Putin was emboldened by the chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan in which multiple US service members were killed and massive amounts of military equipment were left behind.

The president said:

Think of it. Your son would be home. You wouldn’t have had October 7. You wouldn’t have the Ukraine/Russian horror show that’s going on that we’re trying to stop where 5,000 young Russians, mostly Russians, and Ukrainian soldiers are being killed every single week. 5,000 a week. So think of those parents. They are from Russia, from Ukraine and other people, but for the most part.

That would’ve never happened. It was never going to happen. No chance of it happening. Putin and I talked all the time. He knew it wasn’t going to happen. I told him it was going to happen. Through gross incompetence, it did take place. It’s a horrible thing. You wouldn’t have had inflation. Think of it. You wouldn’t have had inflation. You wouldn’t have had the horror of Afghanistan which is I think what gave Putin the resolve to go in and do what he did.
