Trump Unleashes on Peter Baker in Rant Against New York Times

President Donald Trump is once again focusing his ire on The New York Times — this time singling out chief White House correspondent Peter Baker while accusing the paper’s editorial team of being “SICK” and “TRUMP DERANGED.”

In a Truth Social post Sunday, Trump referred to Baker as “Liddle’ Peter Baker,” branding him a “bad writer” and a “sycophant,” alleging he was deployed by The Times to pen “long and boring fake news hit pieces” against him.

The newspaper’s other White House correspondent, Maggie Haberman, also came under fire as did The New Yorker’s Susan Glasser — Baker’s wife — who co-authored The Divider with him, a book chronicling Trump’s first term.

In his social media rant, Trump posted the following:

The Failing New York Times insists on using Liddle’ Peter Baker, a really bad writer and Obama biographer and sycophant, to write many of the long and boring Fake News hit pieces against me. The only two people with less talent than Peter are his “wife,” the lovely Susan Glasser, and, of course, Maggot Hagerman, who may be the least talented writer in the entire stable of New York Times’ MEDIOCRITY! There’s something really wrong with these people, and their SICK, TRUMP DERANGED EDITORS. They did everything within their power to help rig the Election against me. How did that work out??? MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!

The president’s latest tirade follows a series of Times articles scrutinizing Elon Musk and potential conflicts of interest as he now operates as a close Trump policy ally and head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

Baker and Haberman’s coverage has focused closely on Trump’s administration and produced several revelations from within his camp to his domestic and foreign policies.
