President Trump today swiped at the top Senate Democrat over a photo of him and Vladimir Putin, now he’s targeting the top House Democrat over a photo of her and the Russian ambassador at the center of the Jeff Sessions controversy.
And then there’s a report from Politico this afternoon of yet another legislator seemingly forgetting or just neglecting to mention past interactions with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak.
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi told Politico that she has not met with this ambassador, but then Politico found a photo showing the two of them in a 2010 meeting together:

So why did she make that claim, then? Well…
Asked to square Pelosi’s comments with the photo of the meeting, a spokesman said that Pelosi had simply meant she never had a solo meeting with Kislyak.
“Of course, that’s what she meant,” said the spokesman, Drew Hammill. “She has never had a private one-on-one with him.”
Trump responded with this tweet:
I hereby demand a second investigation, after Schumer, of Pelosi for her close ties to Russia, and lying about it. https://t.co/qCDljfF3wN

(The first two versions of the tweet were removed to fix misspellings of “hereby.”)
