Alec Baldwin Weighs in on Martin Bashir’s Exit from MSNBC
As of yesterday, MSNBC has officially severed ties to both of the headaches that plagued it for the last month: Alec Baldwin and Martin Bashir. So it’s only fitting, in a weirdly poetic way, that the former took to Twitter to comment on the fate of the latter, with nothing but praise and good wishes.
Baldwin was very quickly and publicly suspended by MSNBC in the week following his angry outburst against a paparazzo, while Bashir’s was handled more silently and drawn out over a few weeks. Baldwin praised Bashir, compared his Sarah Palin rant to a bad hockey play that deserves a flag but not a suspension, and even took a swipe at the “homogeneity” at partisan networks like MSNBC.

So is this the start of a Bender-esque “We’ll start our own MSNBC, with blackjack and hookers” adventure?
