Alex Trebek Is Actually Going to Be Moderating an Upcoming Political Debate

Finally, Alex Trebek gets to ask the quetsions.

The longtime Jeopardy! host, per, will be moderating a Pennsylvania gubernatorial debate on October 1st.

The debate will be open to all major candidates (so Sean Connery better get busy before the filing deadline) with Trebek, who has actually expressed his desire to moderate a debate in years past.

Back in 2012, Trebek said the following regarding the Obama-Romney race:

“I don’t know who I will vote for. I’m an independent, one of the vast gray mass in the middle. I want to see what’s going on, I want to see what’s happening in the country before I cast my ballot. I would love to be one of the questioners at a presidential debate. I think I would be able to bring a little bit of [an] everyman approach, and not the slightly more intellectual approach that some of the reporters bring to it.”

It may not be a presidential debate, but it’s a start. Perhaps Trebek gets to moderate Trump v Mark Cuban/Oprah Winfrey/Mark Zuckerberg in 2020?
