Ben Carson: ‘I Don’t Want to Be President,’ but I Might Run Anyway
Dr. Ben Carson has been flirting with the idea of running for president in 2016 for a while. In an interview with Jorge Ramos, Carson says he doesn’t want to be president.
His answer to Ramos’ question was a firm “I don’t want to be president… why would any sane person want to do that?”
However, not seconds after saying that, Carson went on to say he is still considering a run. Why? Because of how so many people have been calling on him to run. So, in other words, Carson doesn’t want to be president, but “with so many people… clamoring for me to do it,” he’s been forced into considering it as a possibility.
And so, Carson––who again, said, “I don’t want to be president” and followed that up by saying no sane person would want to do it––told Ramos he’d be deciding on a run for that office early next year.
