Ben Carson: Trump Is Aware His Tweeting Is ‘A Problem’

There’s a reason everyone keeps sarcastically calling Ben Carson the best campaign surrogate ever, and it happened yet again this week.

Not only did he say Trump has “major defects” and gave us the single most bonkers cable news moment of the week, but in an interview with Florida radio host Joyce Kaufman (a Trump supporter), he said that of course Trump’s tweeting is a problem.

The audio, obtained by BuzzFeed, features Kaufman saying Trump always falls into “traps” the media sets for him. Carson said, “The liberal media in particular just knows that whenever he starts getting some moment, all we have to do is say something about him and going off and then we can get him distracted again.”

As for Trump’s tweeting, which Kaufman called a problem, Carson said this:

“I think he will come to understand. We talk about it, and a number of people have talked about it, including his family. And he knows that it’s a problem. And the first part of solving the problem is recognizing that it exists.”

Whatever would give anyone that idea.
