Bernie Sanders Aide Has Best Reaction When Alex Jones Ambushes Senator at Airport: ‘Dude, No’
Infowars host Alex Jones — Seth Rich truther, Sandy Hook truther, Pizzagate truther, Gay Frogs truther, truther pretty much every insane far-right conspiracy — ambushed Senator Bernie Sanders at Los Angeles International Airport today while the Democratic lawmaker attempted to board his flight.
“Well if it isn’t old Bernie Sanders,” said Jones as he caught the Vermont senator walking through the airport, pushing his camera close to his face.
Ari Rabin-Havt, a senior adviser to Sanders, recognized Jones immediately and let out an exhausted, “Dude. No. Not Right now.”
“Who is that?” Sanders asked his aide.
“This is Alex Jones,” Rabin-Havt explained.
Sanders fired off a barrage of quips at Sanders and his aides, asking if they are “flying first class,” tying Venezuela’s financial troubles to the American politician, and joking that “Karl Rove didn’t run like this” — a reference to the time Jones harassed former George W. Bush official Karl Rove during the 2016 Republican National Convention.
“Apologize to the Sandy Hook families, Alex,” responded Rabin-Havt at one point.
Jones responded by claiming Hillary Clinton “edited the tapes” to make it seem like he pushed the Sandy Hook conspiracy, even though there are multiple examples of Infowars promoting the claim that the 20 children and six adults gunned down in a Newtown, Connecticut school were part of an anti-gun government conspiracy. For his role in the Sandy Hook truther movement, Jones is currently being sued by families of the victims.
A random citizen eventually gave Jones a taste of his own medicine as Sanders and his crew began boarding their flight by calling him an “idiot” and asking about Sandy Hook.
“You deny Sandy Hook,” the bold unnamed hero said. “And you’re giving him a hard time?”
