Big GOP Donor Slams Obamacare Using Infamous Hitler Meme

Every internet meme goes through the same lifespan: one person makes something creative and funny, it blows up and becomes viral, everyone else starts using it until it stops being funny, everyone starts posting lame counter-memes about how lame this new meme has become, and the official time of death comes when politicians start using it for themselves. Well, big Republican donor Foster Friess has brought the Hitler Downfall meme into the political arena. This particular video was not created by Friess, it was made late last year by a random YouTube user, but Friess picked it up and sent it out not just on his blog but on an e-mail list.

So what exactly does the video entail? Well, if you’re not familiar with the meme, basically it involves a clip from the movie Downfall in which Adolf Hitler goes off on an angry rant about a subject to be determined in the captions, whether it be Xbox Live, Pokémon, or Harry Potter. Yes, it’s that kind of meme.

Well, in the video Friess shared, Hitler rants about losing his doctor, how Obamacare is much worse than “ReichCare,” and Obama saying he’s “sorry” to everyone whose experience with the law has been less than pleasant. It’s the kind of video you’d expect from a meme meant to convey a political message.
