Bob Beckel Praises ‘Good Friend’ Roger Ailes After Split with Fox
In the aftermath of some tweets questioning Fox’s “angry” statement on his departure, Bob Beckel made it clear he holds no ill will towards head honcho Roger Ailes.
Beckel tweeted last Thursday that he didn’t understand the “anger” in Fox’s statement. For the record, this was Fox’s official statement on Beckel’s split with the network:
“We tried to work with Bob for months, but we couldn’t hold The Five hostage to one man’s personal issues. He took tremendous advantage of our generosity, empathy and goodwill and we simply came to the end of the road with him.”
His old show The Five briefly addressed the matter on Friday, and hours later Beckel tweeted out that he isn’t angry with Ailes:
To make clear I admire Roger Ailes He has stood by me thru some very difficult times He has been loyal and a good friend I thank him
