BREAKING: Senate Judiciary Committee to Request ‘Supplemental FBI Background Investigation’ on Kavanaugh

The Senate Judiciary Committee is going to formally request the White House instruct the FBI to conduct a supplemental investigation into the allegations against Brett Kavanaugh.
Minutes before the committee voted to move the Kavanaugh nomination to the floor, Jeff Flake requested that there be a one-week delay on the floor vote to allow for an FBI investigation first.
And after much deliberation, it appears the committee has agreed:

“The supplemental FBI background investigation,” the committee said in the statement, “would be limited to current credible allegations against the nominee and must be completed no later than one week from today.”
