Bush Press Secretary Ari Fleischer Tweets Riveting Recounting of 9/11
On Wednesday morning, the twelfth anniversary of the September 11 attacks, George W Bush Press Secretary Ari Fleischer tweeted a moment-by-moment recounting of the events of the fateful morning in 2001.
Fleischer was with Bush the morning of the attack, and stayed with the president as they got multiples reports of what was happening, some very inaccurate. He recalled the chaos aboard the Air Force One, the rapid decisions that had to be made of what to do with officials and the press, and Bush’s immediate, visceral reaction to what was, at that point, an unknown threat.
If you’re wondering, “Is anybody trolling this?” the answer is yes. Yes, they are.

After some initial confusion about where best to set up a safe command center for Bush, he demanded to go back to Washington, fearing more attacks could isolate him from his administration.
