CBS Reportedly Chooses Craig Ferguson’s Late Night Successor

CBS has chosen ‘s Late Late Show successor, TheWrap reports, and it’s a name you probably won’t be familiar with: British actor/comedian James Corden.

Corden is most well-known for starring in the BBC show Gavin & Stacey, as well as the play One Man, Two Guvnors, for which he won a Tony Award in 2012. American audiences, however, may come to know him as the Baker in Disney’s upcoming adaptation of Into the Woods.

If this news is confirmed by CBS, Corden would presumably take over The Late Late Show after Ferguson leaves in December, and would continue hosting the show when Stephen Colbert starts hosting The Late Show some time next year.
