Christie Blames ‘Know-Nothing, Disgruntled’ GOP Staffers For Erroneous Report He Snubbed Romney

New Jersey’s outspoken Republican Gov. Chris Christie is calling reports that he snubbed Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney when he requested that the governor appear with him at a Pennsylvania campaign rally “completely untrue.” Christie blames ‘know-nothing’ Romney staffers, who he characterizes as “disgruntled” due to his embrace of President Barack Obama in the wake of Hurricane Sandy, for the erroneous reports.

“All this other noise is coming from know-nothing, disgruntled Romney staffers who don’t like the fact that I said nice things about the president of the United States,” Christie said during an Election Day briefing.

The governor slammed reports in The Huffington Post which claimed he was blowing off Romney.

Christie confirmed that he voted for Romney on Tuesday, and that he is “confident that he’s going to be elected President of the United States tonight.”
