David Bossie Back on Fox & Friends Today After Reported Suspension Over ‘Cotton-Picking’ Comment
Former Trump deputy campaign manager David Bossie was back on Fox & Friends this morning after a reported suspension over his “cotton-picking” remark.
During an argument on Fox & Friends Weekend with Joel Payne, Bossie said, “You’re out of your cotton-picking mind!” Payne took serious offense and the show actually apologized.
During a heated segment on Fox & Friends today, I should have chosen my words more carefully and never used the offensive phrase that I did. I apologize to Joel Payne, Fox News and its viewers.

Fox News said in a statement, “David Bossie’s comments today were deeply offensive and wholly inappropriate. His remarks do not reflect the sentiments of FOX News and we do not in any way condone them.”
The Daily Beast, first to report on Bossie’s return today, had reported at the time that Bossie was suspended for two weeks as a result. (A report which Fox News neither confirmed nor denied.)
And not only did he join the Fox & Friends hosts this morning to talk about the NATO summit and the big Supreme Court news, it was for a segment that also featured Eric Trump.
