Democratic Iowa Caucus Race in a Virtual Tie, Too Close to Call (UPDATED)
As of this very, very late hour, the Democratic Iowa caucus race is a virtual tie between Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders.
It’s a tight battle between both candidates, and as of this posting Clinton is only less than 0.5 percent ahead of Sanders in the vote.
Early on in the night, Martin O’Malley‘s campaign informed multiple news outlets the distant third place candidate is dropping out tonight.
UPDATE — Feb. 2 7:15 a.m. ET: NBC News reported in the middle of the night that Clinton is the assumed winner of the Democratic caucus in Iowa. The results on the Democratic side were the closest in Iowa caucus history.
