Democratic Rep.: I’ve Read Classified Reports With ‘Damning Evidence’ on Trump-Russia Collusion
One day after Adam Schiff, the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, said that there was “more than circumstantial evidence” pointing to collusion between the Donald Trump campaign and the Russian government prior to the election, another Democratic congressman affirmed that account, saying there is “damning evidence” on the horizon.
Appearing on the The Michelangelo Signorile Show on SiriusXM, Congressman Mark Pocan (D-WI) said that he’s read classified reports and claims there is much more to come on the subject of Donald Trump and Russia.
“(T)here are things that I know just that I’ve read in classified reports that I’m sure will still come out that will continue to be damning evidence when it comes to this relationship between the Russians trying to influence our elections and ultimately I think the Trump campaign’s potential coordination on it,” Pocan said.
Pocan added that he believes “great journalism” will bring additional information to light in the coming weeks and months.
Some of it is in the classified version of the report that the 17 intelligence committees put together and some of that hasn’t come out yet. I think some of it’s been coming out because of great journalism. A lot of people doing investigations, like when we found out about Jeff Sessions lying to Congress. That came out because of good journalism. And I think you’re going to keep seeing things come out.
