That Olympic ‘Wolf’ Is Really Just a Jimmy Kimmel Hoax

Let’s face it, conditions in Sochi are rough. Surveillance cameras are apparently in the bathrooms, the doors are trapping athletes, and elevators aren’t where they’re supposed to be. And that’s not to mention the yellow, undrinkable water that you shouldn’t use on your face. So is it possible things are so bad there are wild animals roaming the hallways?

That’s what U.S. luger Kate Hansen posted to YouTube on Thursday: a video of what looks like a wolf (but could easily be some other large wild animal so whew!) prowling around outside her room, either 1) because the hotel is just so lax in security that a wolf could wander in, or 2) because Vladimir Putin is dead serious about security.

So did this really happen? Well, certainly anything is possible in Sochi right now…

…including the possibility this is a hoax. Which it apparently is. Inside Edition exclusively learned that this was a hoax orchestrated by Jimmy Kimmel and Hansen will be popping in on Jimmy Kimmel Live! via Skype tonight.

UPDATE: Kimmel has now confirmed it was all his dastardly plan.
