Dinesh D’Souza, one day after his pardon from President Trump, continued going after former U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara — whose office prosecuted him six years ago.
Yesterday D’Souza tweeted a message to Bharara: “KARMA IS A BITCH.”
Bharara took to Twitter to defend the prosecutors:
The President has the right to pardon but the facts are these: D'Souza intentionally broke the law, voluntarily pled guilty, apologized for his conduct & the judge found no unfairness. The career prosecutors and agents did their job. Period. https://t.co/bA3I8vs4QQ via @politico

In an interview on Sirius XM’s Breitbart News Daily today, D’Souza talked about how the case “forced me to doubt my patriotism a little bit”:
“I mean, I came from a country where this kind of gangsterization is normal. You take a guy like Preet Bharara, and, you know, if he lived in Mumbai, he would be the head of some large criminal syndicate. He’d be running some sort of a large gang, but you know here he is a very different guy. He’s a lecturer at NYU, and he puts on a solemn tone on CNN as if he’s essentially a neutral arbiter of justice”
D’Souza said it’s been dismaying to see this “thuggery” in America, but concluded, “I gotta fight that because I believe in a better America.”
