DNC Pounces on Trump Muslim Question Uproar: His ‘Racism Knows No Bounds’

The DNC pounced on the uproar over Donald Trump‘s answer to a question about Muslims by attacking Trump as a racist.

A man at his New Hampshire rally tonight asked Trump about Muslims being a problem in the United States, their training camps, and President Obama being one of them. Trump responded, “We’re going to be looking at a lot of different things, and you know, a lot of people are saying that and a lot of people are saying that bad things are happening and we’re going to be looking at that and plenty of other things.”

The Democrats interpreted that to mean Trump was endorsing the idea of getting rid of all Muslims, instead of––as some reporters have suggested––placating the man while failing to appropriately call him out for his false attack on the president.

You can read the full DNC statement here:

GOP frontrunner Donald Trump’s racism knows no bounds. This is certainly horrendous but unfortunately unsurprising given what we have seen already. The vile rhetoric coming from the GOP candidates is appalling.

Still, the RNC chair believes Trump is ‘a net positive’ for the Republican Party. The fact is that Trump and his fellow Republican candidates who continue to spew hatred and divide us, are an abysmal negative for America as well and for the future of our political discourse.

They should be ashamed, and all Republican presidential candidates must denounce Trump’s comments immediately or will be tacitly agreeing with him.
