FBI Recovers Previously Undisclosed Benghazi-Related Clinton Emails

hillary clintonThe investigation into that one Hillary Clinton controversy has now uncovered more information about that other Hillary Clinton controversy.

The Associated Press is reporting this afternoon that the FBI uncovered roughly 30 Clinton emails on the Benghazi attacks during its investigation into her use of a private server.

The State Department said today that an “undetermined number” of those emails were not part of the 50,000+ emails Clinton’s team handed over.

This happened in a hearing today, unfolding thusly:

The State Department’s lawyer said it would need until the end of September to review the emails and redact potentially classified information before they are released.

[U.S. District Court Judge Amit] Mehta questioned why it would take so long to release so few documents, and urged that the process be sped up. He ordered the department to report to him in a week with more details about why the review process would take a full month.

The FBI is also set to soon release details of its own investigation into Clinton after many requests.
