Florida Takes on the Pressing Issue of the Zombie Apocalypse
If there was one place on this godforsaken continent that would already be taking action against the coming zombie apocalypse, of course it would be Florida. The state is considering a concealed carry bill during an official state of emergency, but one state legislator wants to change the bill so it takes the possibility of a zombie apocalypse into consideration.
Here is the totality of the change being proposed by Democratic state senator Dwight Bullard: the bill’s name will be changed from “An act relating to carrying a concealed weapon or a concealed firearm” to “An act relating to the zombie apocalypse.”
Why? Because as Bullard explains, he’s trying to draw attention to the ridiculousness of the original bill:
“For me, as laughable as the amendment might seem, it’s equally laughable that people who haven’t gone through the proper training, the background check, the license to carry — we’re saying because of a hurricane or flooding or sinkhole, these individuals have gone from gun owners to concealed carry permit holders.”
But let’s face it, in the case of a zombie apocalypse, there will probably be no one left to enforce the gun laws.
