Geraldo: ‘Behead the ISIS Butchers’
Following the second beheading of an American journalist in recent weeks by the Islamic terrorist group ISIS, Fox News’s Geraldo Rivera said the U.S. should retaliate by also beheading “the ISIS butchers.”
A web video surfaced Tuesday appearing to show Sotloff on his knees in a desert with a man whose face is covered standing over him. Before executing Sotloff, the unknown man threatens to continue murdering American hostages unless the U.S. government halts airstrikes against ISIS, an Islamic terrorist organization based in Syria and Iraq.
Sotloff’s execution comes just weeks after James Foley, another American journalist, was beheaded by the same group.
Obama said Wednesday in response that “the bottom line” on ISIS, which is based in Syria and Iraq, is “to degrade and destroy” the group.
“The president finally declared our strategic goal to ‘degrade and destroy’ ISIS,” Rivera tweeted Wednesday. “We must hold him to it. Behead the ISIS butchers.”
He followed up in a second tweet: “ISIS is said to seek a USA declaration of war for prestige. We must teach them the truth of old life lesson, to be careful what you wish for.”
