GOP Sen. Ben Sasse Fires Back at Hannity: ‘Some of Us Still Believe in the Constitution’ (UPDATE)

Last night, in response to President Donald Trump raging on Twitter at NBC News and threatening to revoke their broadcasting license over a story he didn’t like, Sen. Ben Sasse (R-NE) released a short statement asking Trump if he was recanting on his oath to protect the First Amendment.
While much of the online response to Sasse’s callout of the president was positive, one very prominent supporter of POTUS was not impressed.
One of the biggest mistakes in my career was supporting @BenSasse Just useless. https://t.co/bYReWFdfKO

This afternoon, Sasse fired back at Sean Hannity…and I’d say it’s a pretty safe bet that the Fox News star isn’t going to be happy with the GOP lawmaker’s comments.
Sorry, Sean — you changed, not me. Some of us still believe in the Constitution. No President should play with censoring news they dislike. https://t.co/ZBEMNSF7nz

Sasse also had a question for conservatives regarding how they’d react to a progressive POTUS taking aim at Fox News:
Question for conservatives:
What will you wish you had said now if someday a President Elizabeth Warren talks about censoring Fox News?— Ben Sasse (@BenSasse) October 12, 2017
As of publication, Hannity hasn’t responded to the Nebraska senator. If/when he does, we’ll be sure to update this post.
