CNN’s Jake Tapper beat MSNBC’s Nicolle Wallace in the advertiser-coveted 25-54 age demographic on Monday. Wallace still doubled Tapper in total viewers but it was a notable jostling.

But the big winner in the middle of that time slot, and overall, was Fox News Channel’s The Five. Fox’s Neil Cavuto, too, handily topped the rival networks.

The Five, as Green Room has reported previously, has had a string of big ratings wins. The show is killing. Even the AP made note on Tuesday, reporting that last month the afternoon ensemble program “eclipsed every show on cable news in popularity for the first time ever, the Nielsen company said.”

“That’s highly unusual for a program that airs at 5 p.m. Eastern and in the midafternoon on the West Coast; the number of people watching television typically increases in prime time after the workday is done,” the AP writes.

That trend is continuing November, and Monday’s ratings show it, with The Five pulling nearly 3.5 million in total viewers, vs. Tapper’s second hour at 643k and, for a comparison you might have missed, a mere 225k for Newsmax’s Chris Saledo Show. Nicole Wallace’s Deadline pulled less than half of The Five‘s numbers at 1.3 million viewers across two hours.

MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle dismantled Kellyanne Conway’s claim that there were no supply chain issues during Donald Trump’s presidency.

Conway, the former White House counselor under Trump, made an appearance on Hannity Monday night, during which the supply chain issues that have roiled consumers came up.

“I worked in that White House for four years,” Conway said. “We never even heard of a such of a thing. There was no supply chain crisis. There was no inflation.”

A video of the moment went viral on Twitter and earned derision from other users.

It also earned an efficient fact-check from Ruhle on Wednesday’s edition of Stephanie Ruhle Reports.

“We just told you about inflation up 6.2 percent from this time last year, with shortages pushing up costs as we recover from the Covid situation,” Ruhle said, referring to the inflation report that came out Wednesday morning.

“But for facts’ sake, let us be clear on what has changed since then,” Ruhle continued. “Kellyanne Conway, who served as counselor to former President Trump, talked about shortages on Fox News this week.”

She then played a slightly longer clip, in which Conway criticized President Joe Biden for “telling us all that we’re sort of stupid and don’t understand what the supply chain crisis is. I worked in that White House for four years. We never even heard of such a thing. There was no supply chain crisis.”

“Sister, please!” Ruhle said at the clip’s conclusion and spent 58 seconds debunking Conway.

The clip of Conway’s comments, as clips of her comments often do, went viral on Twitter and invited waves scorn and no small amount of outrage at the revision of the record on such an important point.

Ruhle’s devastating commentary was just the capper on that pushback.
