Hannity Defends Himself on Mueller Bombshell: I’ll ‘NEVER EVER’ Run With NYT Anonymous Sources

Sean Hannity was quite active on Twitter after his Thursday night’s broadcast that briefly addressed The New York Times bombshell.

Anonymous sources have told The New York Times that President Trump ordered the firing of Special Counsel Robert Mueller last June but backed off after White House counsel Don McGahn threatened to resign.

The Fox News host initially accused the Times of “trying to distract you” from the latest developments involving the texts between FBI agent Peter Strzok and FBI lawyer Lisa Page. Later in the broadcast, Hannity changed his tune when Fox News confirmed that Trump “maybe wanted to fire the special counsel for a conflict.”

Well, he wasn’t done.

Hannity took to Twitter and went after the “liberal media sheep” for being “shocked” that Trump wanted to fire “Corrupt Mueller.”

He also took shots at The New York Times for choosing an unflattering photograph they used for a profile they published on him last year, which he made even more unflattering by turning himself green.

Hannity then defended himself for not immediately running with the NYT report because of their use of anonymous sources.

“I will NEVER EVER EVER run with @nytimes anonymous sources,” Hannity tweeted. “Also notice how liberal media uses a NON story to distract from latest text messages from @FBI lovebirds. FOCUS. #ReleaseTheMemo
