Hillary on Potential Trump Presidency: ‘Picture More Kids at Risk of Violence’
Hillary Clinton delivered a speech at a Trayvon Martin Foundation event yesterday and went after Donald Trump on the issue of guns.
Trump was endorsed by the NRA on Friday, and he spent a great deal of his speech railing against Clinton on guns and accusing her of wanting to abolish the Second Amendment.
According to The Guardian, Clinton said she’s alarmed by the idea that Trump would be okay with guns in schools, declaring, “He’s talking about more hatred and division in our streets, even about more nuclear weapons in the world. That’s no way to keep us safe.”
Clinton talked about ideas of racial justice and protecting children from violence, and made this declaration about a potential Trump candidacy:
“If you want to imagine what Trump’s America would look like, picture more kids at risk of violence and bigotry,” Clinton said.
“Picture more anger and fear,” she added. “Ask any of the mothers here tonight if they want to live in that kind of America … Enough is enough.”
