In DC? Please Help Mary Katharine Ham Find Her Husband’s Hat in Terminal B

Conservative journalist and longtime Fox News contributor Mary Katharine Ham took to Twitter moments ago to let her followers know that she left a hat belonging to her late husband in a bathroom of Terminal B in Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport:

Now we know this isn’t the sort of story we usually cover for Mediaite, but we also know that many of our readers are Washington types who frequent Reagan Airport (DCA) for travels, and we feel as if it’s important to help Mary in her quest.

Ham’s husband Jake Brewer was killed tragically in September in a biking accident at only 34-years-old. Brewer worked as a White House staffer in the Office of the Chief Technology Officer when he took part in the charity bike race to raise money for cancer research. Ham and Brewer were parents to one child and Ham was pregnant with their second at the time of the tragedy. President Barack Obama released a statement following Brewer’s death, saying, “I am heartbroken at the tragic loss of one of my advisors, Jake Brewer. We set out to recruit the best of the best to join their government and help us harness the power of technology and data to innovate new solutions for the 21st century. Simply put, Jake was one of the best. Armed with a brilliant mind, a big heart, and an insatiable desire to give back, Jake devoted his life to empowering people and making government work better for them.”

In her first interview since the tragedy, Ham told Greta Van Susteren in October, “If you had put this exact scenario to Jake, he would have said beyond a shadow of a doubt that I could handle it. Now, that doesn’t mean that I have no doubts. But the fact that he would not gives me strength. I really believe that. And he will give me strength from elsewhere as well.”
